The FPIF Elections Committee met on April 21, 2022 and approved the 2022 Trustee Election Schedule. The schedule can be found in the Policies and Publications heading on the FPIF website.
Voters will elect a Participant Trustee, a Beneficiary Trustee and an Executive Trustee in 2022. Candidate applications will be made available on the FPIF website on June 24, 2022. The candidate nominating petition period will begin on June 27, 2022 and end September 16, 2022.
Candidates for the Participant Trustee Position shall be nominated by a written petition signed by no fewer than 400 individuals who, as of the date of signing, were participants.
Candidates for the Beneficiary Trustee Position shall be nominated by an electronic petition signed by no fewer than 100 individuals who, as of the date of signing, were beneficiaries.
Candidates for the Executive Trustee Position shall be nominated by a written petition signed by no fewer than 20 individuals who, as of the date of signing, were mayors or presidents of municipalities or fire protection districts that have participating pension funds.
Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters on or before October 27, 2022 and must be returned by December 1, 2022.
