Trustee John Perry
The FPIF Board of Trustees and its staff welcomes John Perry (Treasurer, Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District) to the FPIF Board of Trustees. The FPIF Election Panel certified the election of Treasurer Perry to the Executive Trustee Position (January 3, 2023 Term End) at its meeting on September 30, 2021.
Treasurer Perry serves on the Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District Firefighters’ Pension Fund Board of Trustees. The district has increased funding for pensions by $4.5 million per year, achieved accreditation, and retained ISO-1 status since Treasurer Perry began his term in 2014.
Prior to serving as Treasurer for the Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District, Treasurer Perry was a city manager in Woodridge and Park Forest for 37 years.
Treasurer Perry holds a BA from the University of Chicago and MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse. Treasurer Perry authored Blueprint for Building Community: Leadership Insights for Good Government (2010) and teaches Local Government Management at Indiana University.
